PG Banshee Norn-08

I had seen how big the “Banshee Norn” shield would turn out, but for the first few stages it’s the same as the standard Unicorn shields. Started on it by painting and detailing some sections for the rear of the shield in pale brass and metalic red to break up the gunmetal painted base colour.

The main parts for the standard shield were painted in the matching dark blue for the armour and carefullt put together. With it being painted the fitting of some parts like the psycho frame shield emmittors did need some paint scraping off to get a good fit. The rest of the parts just popped into place. Even now the shield is large.

This is the combined view of both sides of the standard shield for the Banshee Norn.

Now things get really big as the Bashee has additional shield emmittors and fixings. I started on the top section first with it having the most parts Again some of the parts needed the paint scraping away from them to fit in the holes and allow them to open and retract better.

The additional lower parts for the shield followed the same work as before, but I did find that the extending cleay yellow parts were very close to blue base, so I will have to take care not to scratch the paintwork when I open and close it.

Well, here it is the completed shield in all it’s glory. As you can see it is now over 45cm (15 inch’s) long .
