PG Banshee Norn-01
Not many PG’s Unicorns start with bright orange psycho frame, but it’s very easy to tell that this is the Banshee Norn. This is the larger 1/60 scale (PG Grade) with lots of articulation and inner frame details. I’m not going to use the base supplied with the kit, but build a small detailed base instead.
First thing to start on is the orange psycho frame surrounding the cockpit and lower torso.

There are a lot of aftermarket parts available to enhance PG scale kits, and the Unicorn Banshee Norn in particular. I wanted to add some detail to the engine thruster nozzles, or sometime called verniers, and a compnay called “JAO Parts” make a Banshee upgrade set including metal upgrades that are direct push fit, like the original parts, so no need to drill and glue them in place. As you can see below, they look really nice.

Most of the detailing on the joints will not be that visible, but I like to practice adding painted details where I can, so for the shoulder fixing points I painted the main frame in Gun Metal, then for the detail did added some bronze on a couple of parts. I masked off the main fixing point as paint here would only make the pin tighter when fitting the shoulder unit.

These pieces are made to slide in & out, so masked off where they sit as not to make that more difficult, but I still needed to sand down ever so slightly the fixing pins so it would move freely.
